Children & Preschool Ministry
Children are an important part of the total ministry of First Baptist Church. The main purpose of this ministry is to provide a safe, happy Christian environment for children and preschoolers, and to encourage growth of each child spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically, and socially. This ministry also encourages parents to participate in workshops, Christian maturity, and to promote a sense of cooperative endeavor among parents and teachers.

Student Ministry
We believe that it is time for a new generation to fulfill the purpose for which God intended them to do. We want our youth to live lives solidly based on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and to radically influence their peers as they share their faith daily. We challenge our teens to walk the talk and to have fun while doing it.

Senior
Adult Ministry
First Baptist Church of Bainbridge in the only church in the area with a minister on staff to meet the needs of seniors. Seniors, aged 50 or better, have a wide variety of activities designed just for you. In addition to the small group fellowship and Bible study found in our Sunday School, and the fun and fellowship of our singing Saints Alive Choir, seniors have a monthly gathering known as the Fellowship Club.
The Fellowship Club is a lively gathering that meets
at noon on the first Monday of most every month in
our Fellowship Hall. Exciting speakers, themes, games,
music, and fun characterize our time together each
month. Using our comfortable 55-passenger bus, we
travel around on trips, retreats, tours, shopping,
and special out of town events.
Music Ministry
We love to worship the Lord through music. We minister each week through music in many different ways. All of our music ministries extend farther than just the sanctuary of our church, but rather to the community and beyond. Below are the different types of Music Ministries that we offer.
Churchestra
(Sanctuary Orchestra)
|
This is
a dynamic ensemble of adult and high school aged
musicians using their skills to the glory of God.
We minister each week in our services, leading
our congregation in worship. Our ministry extends
from our church, to our community and beyond.
Membership is by audition and we continually seek
to "play skillfully" as instructed in
Psalm 33:3. Rehearsals are in
the Sanctuary, Sunday mornings before Sunday School.
|
Saints Alive Choir
|
Meets every Monday
morning from 10:30 to 11:30. Rehearsals in the
Choir room are always filled with great fun and
fellowship. We share music at church, in community
settings, at festivals, and on choir tours. Anyone
50 years young and older is invited to join us.
|
Youth Choir
|
Meets in the Choir
room each Sunday afternoon from 5:30 to 6:15.
Exciting, contemporary, and life changing are
some of the characteristics of our music. Any
teen in grades 6 - 12 are invited to join.
|
|
Children's Choir
|
We offer four Children's
Choirs. All children, ages four through the 5th
grade are welcome to enroll. The Preschool and
Children's Choirs meet on Wednesday nights. Each
choir is fully staffed with trained leadership.
Each choir is designed to teach your child about
the love of Jesus through the wonderful medium
of Music Education.
|
Handbell Choir
|
This is a special
music ministry. The choir rehearses Wednesdays
at 7:00 P.M. in the balcony and is open to anyone
with music reading skills.
|
Chancel Choir
|
Rehearsals are on
Wednesday evenings from 7:55 - 9:00 P.M. in room
101 of the Shell Annex. Visitors and potential
members are always welcome to join us. Choir rehearsal
is intended to primarily prepare a wide variety
of choral music for Sunday morning worship and
to develop musical skills. It also provides a
time of spiritual refreshment and great fellowship
as we sing praises of the Lord.
