The Builder
May 5, 2010

Thank you teachers, administrators and all who work in the educational system in our land. We owe you a debt of gratitude that is often overlooked and too seldom appreciated. As I look back over my years of schooling, I can think of several teachers that greatly influenced my life. Mrs. Mooney, who gave me speech lessons and encouraged me in public speaking. Miss Spurlock, who would not let you out of the fifth grade if you could not sew, cook, and iron. Mr. Grafton who taught me science could be fun. And the list could go on. Thanks to all who are in education. We pray for you daily.
This summer we will join with the Samaritan Counseling Center to offer a series of seminars on Healthy Families. The time will be announced later this month and the seminars will be held in the Fellowship Hall.
Other summer plans are forthcoming. Don't be guilty of taking the summer off. Worship and church are not on a school schedule nor a part time plan. God does not take off from us and we should not take off from Him. Enjoy the summer but plan on being in a house of worship each week.
I will look forward to seeing you this Sunday.

More children activities to come!
Thank you to all of our AWANA workers for all of your hard work and time that you have put into this ministry. For those who are moving on to other ministries, we will miss you. Pray that God will send others to step in the gap. Our children love this ministry and we have seen over the past six years that it has made a difference in our church and in our children. Thank you again for all you have done.
Summer Schedule
We will be going a lot of places and doing a lot of things this summer and I hope that you join us as much as you can. Next week I will send out a schedule for the summer events so that everybody will know the details. We will meet in the next couple of weeks to give you more information.
I will also be sending out a form that tells you what your kids have signed up for and how much is owed. I look forward to a great summer and I hope it leads into a great year.
