The Builder
March 10, 2010

More than three hundred bucket were packed and ready for shipping this past Sunday evening. I want to thank Art Bruce for his hard work, excellent planning, and enthusiastic approach to this project. It was exciting to see so many folks come together in a ministry. Thank you one and all.
Another opportunity of exciting ministry awaits us as we approach the Easter season.
This year First Baptist will offer a community wide SUNRISE SERVICE on Easter Sunday morning. This special service will be held at the Decatur County Airport which should give us an unobstructed view of the rising sun. You will hear more of this in the weeks ahead and I hope you will make plans to attend.
We will also participate in the Holy Week luncheons in connection with our Bainbridge Ministerial Association. Our luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 1. If you will remember, this luncheon is open to everyone from across our city and will include a time of worship in preparation for our Easter celebration.
In this article we have spoken of ways to reach our world and our community for Jesus. That is our mission, to reach as many people in as many places as we can with the Gospel in Word and Witness. I am committed to this task, I know you are also. Together we can make a difference. Together we can impact our world. I praise God for the opportunity He has provided us.
Join me this Sunday as we worship the Lord together.

BUCKETS OF HOPE
I'm overwhelmed at your fantastic support of the Buckets of Hope campaign. Scores of happy volunteers worked countless hours. What a blessing it was to see your good works!
We are so very close to reaching our goal. As of Tuesday morning, we are just $2,300 short of our goal. There's still time to be a part of this blessing. We want to also share words of appreciation to Mr. Tom Patton, Decatur County Administrator and Decatur County Agent, Mitchell May for permission to use the Cloud Arena at the fairgrounds . Thanks also to Stones Lumber, FRM and Lamb's Pallets for their gifts to this cause.
EASTER MUSICAL
Our Chancel Choir's Easter presentation, At the Name of Jesus, will be shared on Palm Sunday night, March 28 at 6:30 p.m. Based on Cindy Berry's classic anthem "At the Name of Jesus," this Easter musical traces the story of redemption through the extraordinary impact and power of Jesus' name. This non‑dramatic musical has a contemporary flair combined with high energy, full orchestrations. At the Name of Jesus features classic favorites and four original songs.
Sunday night Bonus Rehearsal: Full Choir
FESTIVAL
Our Handbell Choir will travel to Thomasville Road Baptist Church on Friday and Saturday March 19-20 for a regional Handbell Festival. This event will feature our clinician, Valerie Stephenson, of Jacksonville, FL who will train us to be better ringers. Seven area choirs will rehearse and polish up 5 pieces of music. You are invited to the final performance of the music which will be shared at 3:30 pm that afternoon.

IN CHRIST SERVICE
VOLUNTEER MINISTRY FORM
Well, it's getting that time of the year when the Nominating Committee will begin to work seeking volunteer servants for various ministries within First Baptist Church. We ask each member to begin now to prayerfully seek the area(s) of ministry God may be calling you to.
To help the committee better place those who wish to work in certain areas, we ask that you please take one of the forms located in the hallway of the Educational Building and Shell Annex. Look over the variety of ministry opportunities within the form. Once you have prayerfully considered your area of ministry, we ask that you return the form to the box located next to where you picked up the form. Remember, there is a place for everyone in the ministry of God.
Thanks!
Earl

Summer Activities
This is for all the students and parents in the youth ministry. We are going to try and do some things differently this summer on Wednesday nights. If you have any suggestions on things that you might want to do, let me know. Remember this is your ministry and if you have any suggestions, please talk to me about them and we will look into doing them.
Youth Service
March 21st is going to be our Youth Service for this month. Martus will play, Shockwave will sing, and the youth will do the prayers and the offering. Please let me know if you would like to help with any of this stuff so that we can get this prepared for next week.
Mission‑Lab and Atlantafest
These are our summer activities and there are sign‑up sheets in the youth room.
Atlantafest will be about $75 and it will be June 16th‑19th.
Mission‑lab will be June 27th‑July 3rd and will be $100.
