The Southern Baptist Convention will be meeting in Louisville, Kentucky beginning this Sunday evening with the Pastor's Conference. The Convention will convene for business on Tuesday morning and conclude on Wednesday evening. I am looking forward to attending both the conference and the Convention. In my absence, Al Sessions will be preaching Sunday morning and Lindsay Gay will be preaching on Wednesday evening.
Let me wish all the Father's of our church a Happy Father's Day. The importance of our role in society is best seen in Jesus referring to God as our Heavenly Father. Men, He is our standard to live by, both as Fathers and as Christians.
A special word of thanks to those who have volunteered to minister in Vacation Bible School. I can=t wait to get back Friday and hear about all the wonderful things that have taken place in VBS. Someone eat a cookie for me...
Also a word of thanks to all who took last Sunday's message to heart. Your ministry here is most appreciated.
See you soon.
Paul

Renovation Progress
The upstairs of Educational Building is coming along with great progress. We will go from four class rooms to eight larger size class rooms by reallocating the space we already had. The new walls are already up and the sheet rock is also being put up this week. New floors, doors, and paint colors are on the way.
Thank you to the Property Committee and each member of First Baptist Church for your commitment to this step into the future of ministry here at First Baptist Church.

VBS
For those youth that are working VBS, you need to be at the church at 8 a.m. on Monday. This will allow you to see exactly where you are going to be, and also allow you to greet the kids as they come into the classroom. If you have not signed up, there is still needs. Please see me or Hope Toole on Sunday if you would like to help out.
Wednesday Night
June 24th we will be going to Art and Dian Bruce's house for our fellowship time. We will have worship at 6 p.m. and then go to the Bruce's at 7 p.m.
Tomlin at Wild Adventures
July 18th Chris Tomlin will be at Wild Adventures and we will be going as a group. Sign-ups are in the youth room for this event. If you have a pass, then the cost is $10. If you do not have a pass, then the cost is $40. We need to reserve the tickets early, so let me know if you are going.
Next Chapter
We meet at 8 p.m. every Sunday night for worship, bible study, and food at the Old Library. Please come join us and bring a friend.
In Christ,
Al
