God is so good! He has blessed us with exceptional services over these last two weeks. We have seen His hand at work in the lives of our loved ones and marveled at the awe of His command of nature. He continues to bless the fellowship with new members and inspire us as individuals come to know Him as we know Him. God is so good!
God's goodness is for a purpose. It is to prepare us to better serve Him and be His witness in our community. Although service may take many forms, one type service is for all. That is the service of prayer. We are commanded in the Scripture to Pray, one for another. This prayer, or prayers, should be without ceasing. We are taught to pray for the lost, the sick, the needy, the hurting, the lonely, the dying. All of these and many more need our prayers.
God teaches that prayer is simply conversation with Him. In conversation we both listen and talk. For our prayers to be heard we must include listening to God. It is through our conversation with God that we are able to learn His desires for our lives.
Take time this week to have conversation with God. Listen to Him, speak to Him, and then apply what He has shown.
I try to do this everyday. And, everyday I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.@
God and I look forward to seeing you this Sunday.
Paul

SILENT LORD=S SUPPER SERVICE
Last Sunday evening's time of worship was a meaningful time of reflection on the death burial and resurrection of our Lord. I wondered how appropriate the use of candles would be when the sun was still shining, but God provided the clouds and the rain to make the 4 white candles have significant meaning.
Our accompanists, Lynda Smith on organ and Newana Williams on piano were prepared by selecting beautiful music appropriate to each aspect of the worship time. Without speaking a word, our thoughts were focused on:
Worship:
He Is Here...listen closely
Holy Spirit..Breathe On Me.
Preparation to receive the elements:
Search Me, O God and know my heart
Christ=s Body:
Jesus Paid it All, all to Him I owe.
Worthy Is the Lamb that was slain
Christ=s Blood:
There Is a Fountain filled with blood; and sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains.
In Remembrance of Me: This is my body and precious blood shed for you.
Our Decision to Live for Him:
Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross, I'll watch and wait, hoping, trusting ever.
I Surrender All, I will ever love and trust Him, in His presence daily live.Calvary's Love, all its wonders still remain. Souls still take eternal passage, sins atoned and heaven gained.
We called the service a Silent Lord's Supper.
We spoke no words, but I heard God speak, and I believe you did, too.Art
Well, the time has come and we will be leaving for camp on Monday. Hope everyone has their list of things to bring and all the energy they can muster up.
We will be leaving the church at around 12:30 p.m. and parents will need to make sure that your children have had lunch before leaving for camp. If you have not gotten your child=s Medical Release Form in yet you will need to do so before Monday morning. Any child that does not have this form signed and notarized will not be permitted to load at that time. So, please make sure you have these things turned in before Monday.
If anyone has any question about the trip or their child=s account may contact Bro. Earl at 416-7293 at any time. Get your rest now, you=re going to need it for next week.
