January 20, 2010

SMILE! We want your picture. Pictures for the 2010 Church Directory will be taken at the end of February. A new directory will allow us to put names and faces together. Look and listen for more announcements concerning this upcoming event.
` Following the diagnosis of my Mother-in-law=s cancer many years ago, I became involved with the Relay for Life events. I am pleased that our church has a Relay team and I encourage each of you to help support its efforts.
Our Relay team will be presenting a ADinner Theater@ on Friday, Feb. 5, and twice on Saturday, Feb.6. Those of you who have volunteered to be a part of this MUST meet this Sunday at 1:30 in the Fellowship Hall for practice. If you would like to help with this, see Miranda Killough or myself.
Tickets for this event are on sale now by members of the cast or through the church office. Tickets must be purchased in advance and cost $10 which includes a lite meal and entertainment. I think this could be an opportune time for classes to fellowship together and for couples to invite prospects to attend the event.
I believe everything we do at First Baptist is special. The greatest thing we do is worship and praise the Lord. I will look forward to seeing you this Sunday.

The concert will be presented as part of a series of appearances in Georgia Baptist churches in 2010. Beginning at 7:00 p.m., the concert is free and open to the public.
An opportunity will be given to contribute to the Missions Projects of Sons of Jubal.
