Rock and Roll is Here to Stay!@

That is the theme for our Relay for Life team event Feb. 5 and 6 at the Charter House Inn.  This will be a fun event to raise money for The American Cancer Society. Our church team will provide a lite meal and some funny skits from the 50's and 60's.  I hope you will make plans to attend and buy your ticket early.  Times will be Friday evening at 7:00, Saturday afternoon at 4:00,  and Saturday evening at 7:

00 PM.  Tickets will be $10.00 and checks should be made out to the American Cancer Society.  Come out and help support a great cause.

Next week, members of our Mission Committee, and particularly those who have been to West Africa will host a West African Summit at our church.  This event will involve churches from across the southeast and will seek to give basic information on how to begin a work in West Africa.  We are honored to be a part of this effort sponsored by the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.  We will host this in our Fellowship Hall on Thursday, the 21st and Friday the 22nd.  Pray for our group as we teach.

My thanks to the WMU of our church for graciously hosting the Associational WMU meeting this past Monday evening.  Our ladies Ashined@ as they served as hostesses and made all feel welcome.  Dr. Robert White, Executive Director of the Georgia Baptist Convention, spoke at the meeting.  He fondly remembered being here in revival several years ago.

I look forward to seeing you Sunday.

Paul

THE KINGSMEN

The Kingsmen Quartet is no stranger to Southern Gospel Music, having amassed nearly 75 combined years of musical service. The musicians who accompany them each night enhance their driving quartet‑style of singing. Every member is a gifted singer or

musician who excels at his craft, striving for excellence.

It's not merely the musicianship that drives The Kingsmen Quartet. Their mission is not

merely entertainment but to encourage everyone who attends their concerts.

Whether it be in a song, an entertaining light‑hearted approach to a musical number, or

one‑on‑one conversation with an audience member, The Kingsmen Quartet hope to

put a smile on your face, a song in your heart, and make your way just a bit easier.

Bass singer and owner, Ray Dean Reese has spent forty‑one years singing with

America's famed Kingsmen Quartet. If ever a group could successfully balance honoring the past while forging on toward the future, it is the Kingsmen. With the guidance of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, coupled with the teamwork, dedication and perseverance these men display, The Kingsmen Quartet will be spreading the gospel in song for a long time to come.

The Kingsmen Quartet will be in concert at First Baptist Church, Bainbridge, Saturday, January 16.  The Concert begins at 7:00 P.M. A freewill offering will be received.

Vision

Last week, I said that it was my vision that the youth group gets comfortable being uncomfortable.  Step out of our comfort zones and get off the path that we normally travel.  If you want to help with the youth group, then be prepared to get uncomfortable.  Our goal is always to bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and we will do whatever it takes this year to accomplish that.

                                  SNAC

I am going to be asking people to host SNAC for the rest of this year, so if you are interested, please let me know.

                          D-NOW Homes

Thank you to those who have volunteered to host a home for D-NOW.  There are still needs for this, so if you are interested, please let me know.  Also we will have a D-NOW host, leader, and co-host meeting on February 7th.  This will just be to go over rules and such for the next week at D-NOW.

                       Junior/Senior Trip

We are getting excited about the Junior/Senior trip on January 29th-30th.  All those who did not attend the meeting last week need to see me about getting the info for this trip.
