Operation Christmas Child
Shoebox Collection 2010
We are beginning EARLY this year to start our collection for Samaritan=s Purse. We would like to collect over 300 boxes this year........... WE CAN DO IT.........IF WE WORK TOGETHER! These collections can be made by Sunday School classes, or individually. Each month there will be items emphasized in the Builder for collection. These items can be stored in your classroom, home, or brought to the church office. Monetary donations can be made through church office so needed items can be purchased.
During the month of February, we will be collecting plastic or regular shoe boxes with a lid and a small stuffed animal for each box.
If each class would begin collecting their boxes in their classroom, these boxes should be filled by this fall when we have our Dedication Sunday.
Every shoe box offers an opportunity to share the Good News of the Savior with a hurting child.
Thank you so much for your participation in this ministry.

BUCKETS OF HOPE
HAITI RELIEF
The challenges following the earthquake in Haiti continue. We don't see as much about it in the news, but there are still hundreds of thousands of people who have tremendous needs, and the suffering is very real.
We know you continue to pray daily for those in need. Please consider taking part in a cooperative missions effort to provide families in Haiti with "Buckets of Hope," a way to help families with basic food needs during these days. To do this we are joining with associations, other state conventions, and the North American Mission Board.
The Missions Committee of FBC Bainbridge has agreed to participate in the Buckets of Hope Haiti Relief project. We want to challenge each FBC Bainbridge family to provide at least 1 bucket, or more if you are able. With your contributions of $30 toward each bucket, we can purchase the food to fill 300 buckets. Thirty extra empty buckets will be available to families who may wish to purchase and pack the items themselves, making it a teaching lesson for their children.
After the evening worship service on Sunday, March 7, we will have a Bucket Packing Party.
We=ll gather to fill up each bucket and load 10,000 pounds of food to send to Haiti to feed the hungry.
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my Brethren, ye have done it unto Me. Matthew 25:40b
One 5-gallon plastic bucket will feed a Haitian family for a week. The bucket can be used later to carry water and store items. The empty buckets have been donated and may be available Sunday, February 28 in the Sanctuary or the Library. Using generic items, it costs $30.00 to fill a bucket. Make your family or personal contribution of $30 to FBC Bainbridge so that we may purchase the food and assemble these March 7.
