The Builder
February 17, 2010

The passport and visa arrived in the nick of time and I am on my way to Mali, West Africa. Toby Roland and I want to thank you for your continued prayers and support. We will have much to share on our return.
You may be one of the ones who say you cannot go across the ocean to tell the story of Jesus, but can you go across the street? During the latter part of March, I will be asking you to go to every home on your street or to take a street in town and leave information about our church, a special block party, and a special Easter Sunday Event. For those who say we should reach our community first, here is your chance!
A special word of thanks to those who helped reach our community through our Dinner Theater. The First Baptist Church Relay for Life Team raised $2300 after expenses for Cancer research. Way to go!!!
Now, join the team and meet us at the Relay on March 13. Walk with us, sit with us, laugh with us, eat a hamburger with us or just come and hang out. Whatever your choice, we will love to have you experience this great event.
I know you will have great services this Sunday. Earl will preach at the Morning Services and Al at the Evening Service. I look forward to seeing you soon.
Paul

SONS OF JUBAL
It was a privilege to serve the Lord at the 4 Sons of Jubal concerts in Grayson, Bainbridge, Mableton and Milledgeville. God's Spirit is present each time we lift up Jesus in song.
A special word of thanks to Coley Voyles and WMGR for broadcasting the edited version of the Sons of Jubal concert. Look in the Post Searchlight TV schedule for future broadcasts. See me if you would like to borrow a copy of the DVD for your own personal viewing. I have one that you may check out. Pray for the Sons of Jubal as the special mission project is formally announced on February 26. It's really exciting to be a part of God's plan to reach those who have never heard the gospel
BECKY ROBERTS IN CONCERT
The concert of sacred music by the praise team of Evangel Temple A.O.G. last Sunday night was an awesome experience. Our time of fellowship with their congregation was only surpassed by the sense of worship we shared. We'll plan to have more times of worship and fellowship with Evangel Temple and other congregations in the future.
SENIOR SAINTS ACTIVITIES
A special word of thanks to Billy and Tracy Poppell for leading the outing to Mom & Dad=s Italian Restaurant last Thursday night. I wasn't able to attend but I understand that everyone had a great time. Look to this column for a future event.
SAINTS ALIVE
Remember to read the drama to pick which part you might consider learning. We=re still looking for folks willing to have fun singing for the Lord. Join us Mondays @ 10:30 a.m.

Special Thanks
Thank you to all of you who hosted or co-hosted a home for D-Now. You really are the ones that make this event happen. Thank you to those who helped with the dinner on Saturday. Everything was great and ran smoothly. This was a great event and I look forward to many other life changing events in the upcoming years.
I haven't had a chance to meet with all of the youth ministers since the weekend, but I know of at least 5 salvation experiences and many other commitments made of the weekend. Lives were changed and you had a part in changing them.
SNAC
This Sunday night we will have SNAC at David and April Helms home. Please join us for this time of fun, food and fellowship after the evening service.
Last Sunday Night Youth Service
I am preaching this Sunday night while Pastor is in Africa, but I will also be preaching the following Sunday night because of the new Youth Service will have on the last Sunday of every month. MARTUS will lead worship, SHOCKWAVE will sing, youth will be ushers and lead us in prayers. If you would like to have a part in this service, please see me for details.
