To reach this community for Jesus we must be in this community. Sounds simple doesn't it? For us to be in this community we must do events that are entertaining and inspirational for the whole community. Two great examples of this happened last week.
The Sons of Jubal Concert on last Thursday evening was a wonderful example of inspirational community involvement. Then our Relay for Life Dinner Theater on Friday and Saturday gave a light hearted evening of entertainment. Together these events showed the community the depth of love and the height of joy that can be found at First Baptist Church. My thanks to all who had a part in making these events successful.
We cannot stop here though. Coming in March will be a youth led block party for our community. Then a special Easter event is being planned that you will hear more about in early in March. Both these will need your involvement to be successful. Both will have a positive impact on our community, establishing community relationships, and opening the door to spreading the Gospel here in Bainbridge. These events will be followed by others as we seek to win our community and world to Jesus.
I am thankful for those who are inviting their friends and neighbors to our services. God has blessed us recently with many new faces and families seeking a church home. Others will come to know Jesus if we only will invite them to hear the Gospel and respond to it. What a difference you invitation is making. Keep up the good work.
I look forward to seeing each of you this Sunday morning.

SONS OF JUBAL
I've just returned from the third in a group of 4 regional concerts of the Sons of Jubal. Dr. Jon Duncan and the men in the group are still pulling me aside and asking me to thank each of you who helped to host the group last Thursday. Your efforts, large and small, were successful in helping to proclaim the Gospel to everyone who was at the concert and those who will be blessed in the future by the TV broadcast and DVD. .Thanks to the many volunteers who ushered, greeted, manned the product tables, moved equipment, cleaned up and served the Jubals their delicious snacks and supper meal. You were a blessing!
I'm still overwhelmed at the wonderful sense of worship we experienced. I am especially grateful to Dewey Robinson for his influence and generous contribution for the use of the Charles Kirbo Center at Bainbridge College.
BECKY ROBERTS IN CONCERT
Becky Roberts, the granddaughter of Betty Williams will bring a concert of sacred music on Sunday night, February 21. Becky, who is a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God, will be accompanied by an ensemble from her church. The members of Evangel Temple will also join us for this special time of worship. The Service begins at 6:30 p.m. Be sure to invite friends.

It's time for everyone who works in any of the following areas: Preschool, Children, Youth, to have their background checks done. We take the safety and security of all of those 18 and under serious here at First Baptist.
If you are serving presently, or thinking about working in any of these areas, you will need to have this done before continuing in your present area of service. This is a must for every worker and volunteer so, mark your calendars.
DNOW weekend is the biggest event in our community for youth. We cross denominational borders to come together to reach people for Christ. This weekend we will have 300 or more students worshiping God together at the Kirbo center. If you think that students aren't getting or that the next generation isn't going to amount to nothing, then I encourage you to come see them worship. Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 7 p.m. will be our worship services. Come and see what DNOW is really all about.
WinterJam 2010
Third Day, Newsboys, Newsong, Tenth Avenue North, Fireflight, and Sidewalk Prophets all for $10. Impossible you may thing, but it's reality at WinterJam. This is a great event for youth and adults alike. We will be taking all who want to go. Sign up sheet will be in the youth room. This is so that we will have an estimate of people to prepare what vehicles we need to take. The cost is $10 at the door and all are welcome.
Small Groups
Small groups will start back next Wednesday night. Please bring your friends so that they can see how awesome it is to share and hear others share about Christ in a small group setting.
