We are entering the season of prayer for the Annie Armstrong offering for North American Missions.    This is our opportunity to focus on and support the work of our missionaries in North America.  Our church goal for this mission effort is $10,000.

Prayerfully consider how you can support this effort.

The Associational-Wide Revival, with Rich Coram preaching and music by the Mike Speck Trio,  will begin on Sunday evening March 15.  Counselors, choir members, folks to set up and take down chairs, and other volunteers are needed.  Call the church office if you would be interested in helping this crusade effort.

The time changes this weekend. We will Aspring forward@ one hour.  This will give us more daylight in the afternoon and evening hours.  With this extra daylight comes a great opportunity to increase our visitation program because no one will have to be out after dark.

That means that our GROW teams should have extra daylight to make visits.  Are you on a team?  GROW is open to everyone in our church and involves more than just going to knock on doors.  See me for details.

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday.

FELLOWSHIP CLUB  COUSIN ARTHUR

All senior adults who attended Fellowship Club last Monday had a hilarious time as  Rev. Andy Hall, a Baptist preacher for 40 years entertained us. I had a convenient seat up front and saw and heard the laughter. And the food was great as usual. Since Rev. Hall told us he was the son of a Georgia sharecropper, many of our great cooks prepared their favorite country foods like greens, peas, cornbread, fried chicken, pecan pie and cocoanut cake. Yum! Join us for our next gathering on Monday, April 6th. You'll be glad you did.

CHANCEL CHOIR WORKSHOP

A reminder of our Choral Workshop on Saturday, March 21st. We=ll gather at 9:00 am for coffee then rehearse until noon. Lunch will be provided and we should be heading home by 4:30. We will be joined by our friends from Seminole Baptist Church in Tallahassee. Our guest conductor is Mrs. Toni Myers of Duluth, GA. The musical Raise the Crown will be presented at 6:30 P.M. Sunday, Mar 29th.

ASSOCIATION WIDE REVIVAL CHOIR

Everyone is invited to be a part of the mass choir for the Revival. There will be only one rehearsal in preparation for this even: Saturday, March 14th at 6:PM in our sanctuary. Join us.

Be a blessing and be blessed.

Attention Parents

There will be a meeting regarding the possiblities of moving our upcoming 6th graders from the youth ministry to their own pre-teen ministry. This has come about because of the recent move of the Decatur County Board of Education to place the 5th and 6th graders together within the school system.

This meeting will be an open forum for all parents with upcoming 6th graders and for any other parent who will have children in this particular ministry in the future. Bro. Earl, Al and Bro. Paul will also be at this meeting. The meeting will be held in the upstairs area of the Education Building at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22.

Earl Barron

Minister of Education/Children

Within the next three weeks our Ministry Survey will be coming out. The nominating team will gather each one and go over themto see where each person would like to serve this next year. So, begin to pray now for your place of service in Gods house.

POWERPLANT

I am excited about Powerplant this summer.  I will be making a pre-trip in April to Savannah to meet with some people about the trip and see exactly what we will be doing.  We will start meeting on March 22nd for the Bible Studies.  The first meeting will also be an informational meeting so everybody plus parents needs to attend.  We will hand out info, fill out forms, and then start the Bible study.  Remember, the study is a requirement for all those who are attending.

Middle School Bible Study

We started middle school small groups last week and it is going to be great.  We have some enthusiastic leaders and the kids seem to really like the setting.  There is still room if you would like to help out with this ministry.  If you can=t but still want to work with the youth, please contact me and we will look at other options.

            Summer Wednesday Nights

If you would like to host one of our pool fellowships on a Wed. Night during the summer, please contact me for more information.

 In Christ,

 Al
