Team Three, as I will call us, is about to embark on a mission trip to Africa. This is in keeping with our Covenant Agreement with the International Mission Board to work with the Shenara people group of West Africa. We will depart on January 22 and return on January 31. The team is made up of Eldon Eckard, Jean Watson and myself. In preparation for this trip I would like to ask several classes if they could provide some specific items in specific amounts. I will be coming Sunday morning to see if you can help. Please be in prayer for our mission trip to Honduras. Jimmy Crum and Jerry Henry have the details on this trip. It will be a more hands on type trip and will need a number of people with various skills. As we go around the world on missions, let's not forget that we have a mission field right here at home. People here need the Lord. Needs need to be met in our own community. If you can't go over there, surely you can go next door or down the street. 2009 should be the year that the whole church is on Mission for Jesus. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday. Paul

SAINTS ALIVE Calling all members of Saints Alive to join us next Monday, January 11th as we premier a new musical to share in the spring. Don't Hang Up will be an exciting challenge that is inspirational as well as entertaining. Come for the first time or bring a friend. FELLOWSHIP CLUB Last Monday's Fellowship Club monthly meeting was another great success. We enjoyed an informative presentation from Clint Cunningham and Mary Jo Wells of the Bainbridge Rehabilitation Center. I even held Clint down a few minutes after the presentation to answer personal questions about my chronic back problems. His $10 solution was what I needed! Mark your calendars for our next Fellowship Club meeting on Monday, February 2nd. CHANCEL CHOIR WILL YOU TAKE THE CHALLENGE? I'm looking at a musically challenging cantata for Easter. America's best composer/ arranger, David Clydesdale has a new inspirational Easter musical called Raise the Crown. If you know anything about his music, you're aware that he presents new challenges and stretches the singers to new levels. Join the Chancel Choir at 8:00 p.m. next Wednesday, January 14th as we premier the musical. PIANO TUNING Contact me if you have an interest in having your piano tuned in January. Art

Thank You All!
I would like to say thank you to my church family for all of your prayers and support during my latest hospital stay. This was something that was unexpected to say the least. But, Wanda and I are very grateful for all of those who have come by to see me in the hosptial and at home. Thank you also to those who have fixed meals and sent cards and letters. Our church family is just that FAMILY. I'm looking forward to being back in church on Sunday.
