It is good to be back home. The African Mission project is going well and I bring you greetings from Rita Salter, Judy Miller, and Rachel Cole, our missionaries in Mali. This trip would not have been possible if I had not had the assurance that all would carry on in my absence. Thank You Al Sessions and Earl Barron for preaching while I was gone. Thank you Art Bruce for being available to fill in where ever needed. A special word of thanks to my prayer partners, Clarene Jones and Virginia Smith.
I am especially thankful for a church family that realizes the need for rest. Pete Sharber did an excellent job this past Sunday Morning allowing me to get some much needed rest. You are such a wonderful congregation!
Six months ago a young man in one of our villages was taught the basic story of how Jesus can change a life. He was one of only 3 believers in his village. Last week when we returned to the village there were twenty (20) adult believers and numerous children. I asked how this came about and he replied, I told the story. Have you told the story lately....
I look forward to seeing you this Sunday.

Preschool Reminder
If you have a child who attends Sunday School please be reminded to sign your child in when you drop them off at their class. Each class room has a sign-in sheet.
Also, be reminded that only designated adults are to pick up their children from the class rooms. Siblings are not allowed to come and get their brother or sister from their class. This rule applies not only on Sunday but on Wednesday evenings after all RA=s, GA=s, and Mission Friends activities. These guidelines are for the safety of all our children and families.

DNOW
I would like to thank everybody who helped out with the DNOW meal on Thursday night. It was incredible to see all the response and the love that is shown to these kids. It is great to be a part of a church that cares about students and wants to invest in their lives. Our prayer is that many students lives will be changed through DNOW and it all started with the Thursday night Information and Parent night. Thanks again to all your support and help. Special Thanks to Jan Thomas= Sunday school class for coordinating the dinner.
Middle School Small Group Leaders
If you would like to be a part of mentoring the lives of middle school students, please get involved in these small group opportunities. We will start this on Feb. 11th and it will be from 6 to 6:45. You will still have time to go to prayer meeting. You will meet with a group of 5 to 8 students and discuss the nights lesson with them. Let me know if this is something you are interested in.
CENTRIFUGE
Due to the lack of sign-ups for this event, we will not be doing Centrifuge. For those that wanted to go, we will plan something else that will happen during the summer instead of this.
In Christ,
Al
