November 4, 2009
From the Pastor:
I had the privilege of praying with our mission team prior to their departure on Tuesday. Tanya and Jimmy Crum along with Mary Lynn White left for the villages of Africa. They will return in about ten days. While they are away, will you join with me in lifting them up in prayer daily? Prayer guides were given out Sunday and more are available through the church office. I do believe our prayers will have direct effect on their success.
I want to encourage all who can to meet together at Morningside Baptist Church for the canvassing of Bainbridge on Saturday morning, November 14, at 8:30. This is part of Operation Total Contact that is sponsored by the Bowen Baptist Association.
We will be busy over the next two months with the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. Many will say, AI will be glad when this is over!@ But I say, let this be the beginning of the celebration of Thanksgiving and the new birth in each of our lives. Let this not be a season of the year, but an expression of the life we live all year long. What a wonderful opportunity these >seasons= give us to witness for our Lord.
I am looking forward to seeing you this Sunday in Sunday School and Worship. Don=t forget Sunday nights, and Wednesday nights as well. God is doing great things because of your faithfulness.
See you Sunday,
Paul

SAINTS ALIVE FESTIVAL - HUGE SUCCESS
Our trip to Toccoa last Monday and Tuesday was wonderful. Our group joined with 500 others to be inspired with beautiful piano playing by David Carnes and great painting by artist Kerry Jackson. Four choirs shared their music with us and the presence of the Lord was evident in our worship times. The fall leaves were spectacular, too. We enjoyed the fellowship, entertainment and the best food ever. A similar event is planned for May 10-12 on Jekyll Island, Georgia.
SAINTS ALIVE TO VALDOSTA DATE
The date for our November gathering with FBC Valdosta and FBC Moultrie will be Thursday, November 12. Sorry for the confusion last week.
FELLOWSHIP CLUB NOVEMBER MEETING
The world renowned Jack Wingate will be our featured program personality for our monthly Fellowship Club meeting. Invite your friends and fellow Sunday School classmates to this great event. Covered dish and smiles from everyone.
FELLOWSHIP CLUB DECEMBER MEETING
We are planning to have our December Fellowship Club meeting at >Grandma=s Place=, the restaurant on Faceville Highway next to SW Baptist Church. The date will be December 7 and the time will be 11:30 a.m.
CHANCEL CHOIR BONUS REHEARSAL
Sunday night's bonus rehearsal will be for the altos of the choir. We'll sing right after church and be on our way by 8:30.
Art

Wanda and I would like to say thank you to our church family for the wonderful reception, cards, gifts, and many words of encouragement given to us last Sunday. It was a wonderful day we will not forget.
Our family has been very blessed in having the opportunity to minister here in Bainbridge. You accepted our children and helped raise them. We are very appreciative.
Looking back, I never thought I would be where I am now in the ministry. But as usual, God has shown me over these past ten years that things are quite different when looking through the eyes of Christ. God will use you, no matter who or what you are in this world. Love God and love others and just see what He will do. Thank you again for being the family of God to my family.
God's Servants,
Wanda and Earl Barron

Keep up the GREAT WORK in your Sunday School classes. Each week we see more and more of whom God is sending our way. Be creative in your ministry and don=t forget to give God all the praise for what HE is doing.

5th Quarter
The final 5th Quarter will be at the Methodist church after this week=s game. It will be a great time.
SHOCKWAVE RETREAT
We will begin at 6:00 on Friday Nov. 20th and conclude with participation on Saturday night. The students have been told that the Retreat is a Mystery and that they will receive clues throughout the retreat as to what they will be participating in. This will be a >spend the night= event. Parents will be given more information after all plans have been finalized.
Wednesday Nights
We have started a study on Wednesday nights called Crazy Love. It is a study about being overwhelmed by a relentless God. We will be watching a video, discussing scripture, and then talking about what falling in love with God truly looks like in our lives as individuals.
SNAC
Sunday Night After Church this week will be at Jan & Alan Wilson=s home.
In Christ,
Al
