Builder, May 27, 2009

The renovation project for the second floor of the Educational Building will begin on June 2.  Bids were gathered and the project was awarded to Southern Triad Construction of Bainbridge.  The bid came in well below the amount approved by the church.  Our commitment will be for $241,000.00.

If you remember, the church approved this construction project in February of this year.  With that approval the trustees were authorized to borrow the amount necessary for the project.  And, WE committed to paying for it.

Your giving has been strong throughout this unsure economic time. God has blessed this church because of our faithfulness in sharing, going, giving, and teaching.  Let=s move up to the next level and give sacrificially to retire this debt as quickly as possible.

We have agreed that much more needs to be done as we grow and receive the Grace He is given us.   MY philosophy is: >pay off one debt before making a new one=.  I challenge you to do that with me.

I firmly believe there is no recession with God!  We can=t out-give God nor can we fathom all the blessings He pours out on us.

I look forward to receiving His blessings with you this Sunday.

Paul

PATRIOTIC CELEBRATION

The preparation and plans for the Patriotic Celebration on June 28th are kicking into high gear. The program with the patriotic musical: There Is Freedom Here, along with the orchestra, soloists, color guard, and recognition of our veterans is shaping up to be an evening of stirring music. In addition to the music, we will have the opportunity, as the community of Bainbridge and Decatur County, to express our thanks and gratitude to God for His abundant blessing of America as a country and us as His people. Much in our country has strayed from the pure moral values that shaped our modest beginnings. Our PATRIOTIC CELEBRATION will strive to point our moral compass back to God. Bring a carload of folks to the 6PM PATRIOTIC CELEBRATION at the Coliseum on Sunday, June 28.

EDUCATION BUILDING RENOVATION

For your safety and convenience, please do not use the West parking lot entrance to the Preschool area. These doors will be sealed to keep the dust and debris out.
