Thanks, Al, for filling in for me on short notice.  As many of you knew, my father-in-law fell and had to have hip surgery last week.  JoRene, Emily, and I checked on him over the weekend and he is doing as well as he can be.  One thing in his favor is a really positive attitude.  This is the guy that was singing AAmazing Grace@ as they wheeled him into heart bypass surgery several years ago. The reason for his optimism is a solid faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  I thank God for his abiding faith and faithfulness.

How solid is your faith?  How do you face uncertainties and tragedies? The word of God is our guide for handling all the events of life.  Each of us should be in the Word daily, weekly in Bible Study (Sunday School) and in worship.  The only way to gain a proper outlook on life is to know the author and finisher of our faith, Jesus Christ.  I hope you can say that you know Him and trust Him.

Join us this week as we celebrate the presence and assurance of Jesus in our lives.

I will look forward to seeing you this Sunday.

Paul

DEAF MINISTRY

What a blessing Elaine Trammell and Abby Killough were as they shared last Sunday. May we all bend >Knees to the Earth=!

ASSOCIATION WIDE REVIVAL CHOIR

A word of thanks to each of you who invested the hours needed to sing in the Revival Choir. Your sacrifice of time and effort to lead worship will have eternal rewards. I am grateful for each of you. Our guest musicians, Mike Speck Trio were a blessing. Mike reminded me of the >Energizer Bunny=. Please continue to lift Mike, the trio and their ongoing ministry in your prayers. Throughout our lives, God allows us to touch a few folks with the Gospel, but Mike has been enabled to reach tens of thousands in America and around the world.
