The Sixth trip to Mali, West Africa will be June 11-20, 2009. Susan Lanier and Tanya Crum will be visiting the villages we have worked in previously and will begin the training and teaching of the villagers. This is a new phase in our work and shows how the Lord has led and is leading our efforts.
Another first for this trip will be our being on our own. The missionaries are confident that we can now navigate the area and do the work without depending on their presence. There will be a driver and an interpreter with the Ladies, but not a Missionary. It is exciting to know that we have grown to this point in our spiritual development.
The team requests your continued prayer for travel and leadership of the Holy Spirit. They also request a supply of
Neosporin Ointment
Betadine
Latex Gloves, size med.
Gauze.
These items are to aid the children they encounter that have serious sores. GOD BLESS YOU ladies as you go.
See you this Sunday,
Paul

PATRIOTIC CELEBRATION
The program with the patriotic musical: There Is Freedom Here, along with the orchestra, soloists, color guard, and recognition of our veterans will be exciting. We will also have the opportunity to express our thanks and gratitude to God for His abundant blessing of America as a country and us as His people. Our PATRIOTIC CELEBRATION will strive to point our moral compass back to God. Bring a carload of folks to the 6 PM PATRIOTIC CELEBRATION at the Coliseum on Sunday, June 28.
PATRIOTIC CELEBRATION REHEARSALS
Participation in the combined choir is open. I=m expecting all Shockwave, Chancel and Saints Alive singers to get involved. The following rehearsals can be attended if you wish to participate:
Mondays at 10:30 AM
Wednesdays at 8 PM
Sundays at 7:30 PM
SPECIAL MUSIC
What a great musical blessing we all received in the morning worship services last Sunday. The Girls Ensemble, consisting of Kayla Godwin, Mary Anna Dozier, Sydney Harrell and Jennifer Voyles sounded beautiful. Thanks to April Aldridge for your leadership with these ladies. Thanks, also to Benita Stephens and Jeff Jones for your duet Sunday night. Your song, Jesus Saves, was beautiful.

Wednesday Night
I will not be here next week because of PowerPlant, so we will do things a little different on Wednesday night. We will just have bible study here at the church. Bible study will begin at 7 p.m. and will get out at the same time as prayer meeting.
We will be back to our regular Summer Wednesday night schedule on June 17th. That night we will go to the Toole=s house for fun and fellowship after the Bible study.
Next Chapter
The summer ministry started off strong, and we hope to see this continue. This week Kim Jeter from Faceville will be the speaker. It begins at 8 p.m at the Old Library. Please come and invite a friend.
Golf Outing
A men's golf outing will be held Saturday June 13th. It will be at the Crooked Oak Golf Course in Colquitt, Ga. The cost is $32 per golfer. Be at the course at 8 a.m. or meet at the church to ride together at 7:15 a.m. Call the church office if you would like to play. For more info call Ken Bailey at 220-4087.
In Christ,
Al
