The Builder

December 1, 2009

It=s here and I am ready!  Christmastime, the celebration of the birth of our Savior.  I like all the decorations, the traditions, the singing, and the acts of worship.

You want to be sure and attend all of our services leading up to Christmas and especially our Christmas Eve Communion Service.  What a wonderful time to honor our Lord on His birth.

Another way to honor our Lord has been presented to us.  If you have a computer then search for the Manhattan Declaration.  This is a document that clearly states beliefs that we as Christians are unwilling to compromise.  This is a uniquely Christian statement composed by a cross section of Christian leaders.  Read it and if you agree with it, sign it. I did.

We will do something new this Sunday morning.  Rather than waiting till once a year to do Parent Child Dedication, we will do it upon request from now on.  This Sunday we have been requested to hold such a service for Jim and Mellie Shriver and their son Jake.  The time of dedication will be in the 11AM service.  Others have also requested dedication time and as I have opportunity to counsel with these folks we will set up time for them.

Sunday will be another great day in the Lord and I look forward to seeing you then.
