We have seen the power of prayer at work in our church over the years but never so evident as in recent days.
Pearson Martin continues to improve as we continue to pray. Our prayers are still needed.
Davis Wallace underwent two successful back surgeries and much prayer covered him and his parents. More prayer is needed as he faces days of rehabilitation. Our prayers are still needed.
The renovation project has been completed and GOD blessed our prayers with that being done on time. We are praying about the best way to pay for the project, and about future projects. Our prayers are still needed.
God=s hand is truly evident upon those who pray. We need to continue to pray. Prayer is talking with God, sharing our joys, sorrows, fears, and concerns. Prayer is listening to God as He speaks to us through His Word, circumstances, and individuals. Our task is to pray fervently, continuously, and in the Spirit of God.
Join me as we pray for the will of the Lord and our following the way of the Lord.

Tonight, Wednesday the 12th, kicked off our 2009-2010 year of graded choirs at FBC Bainbridge. The term graded choirs refers to the fact that we have 5 separate choirs for children, aged 3-grade 12. We are truly blessed to have talented and dedicated volunteers who are willing to teach and train our children in Christian music. We=ll make room for your neighbor=s child in choir, if you will bring them. Will you be an instrument that God can use to make an eternal difference in the life of a child?
SONS OF JUBAL CONCERT B AUGUST 27
It is a privilege to be a small part of a great group of Baptist musicians in Georgia known as the >Sons of Jubal=. The members will perform concerts in Stockbridge, (Aug 25) and in Valdosta (Aug 27). Joe Todd has graciously agreed to drive the big bus for us to the concert at FBC Valdosta. Departure at 4:15 and return about 11:30. Reserve your seat by calling the church office.

HANDBELLS
Our handbell group has returned from the summer hiatus and is rehearsing again. We are in need of 2 new ringers. Previous bell experience not required but music reading skills are essential. We practice at 7 P.M. on Wednesday nights.

Back-To-School Celebration
Calling all young families! On August 5 our end of summer event was rained out, so we have rescheduled this time for Saturday August 22 at the YMCA Pool area at 10:00 a.m. We will still cook out and have a great time of fun and fellowship as a church family.
Preteen Ministry Kickoff
5th & 6th Grade
Saturday August 22 from 3:00 till 5:00 p.m. at the church. This will be a tailgate party with all the fixings for the BHS vs Cairo football game. We will be discussing upcoming events and ministries for the fall and next Summer.
Special Ministry Note: Wednesday Night Preteen boys class is in need of two male teachers/mentors for our Wednesday night Bible study. If you feel that God is calling you to work with these boys please contact Bro. Earl for more information.
SHOCKWAVE Kickoff
If you are a part of Shockwave or would like to be, then this Saturday is a great time to see what is to be going on this year. We are having a kickoff to look at this fall=s music and it will be a great time of worship, fellowship, and food.

Shockwave will start back this Sunday at 5:15 and go to 6:20.
